Setting Myself a Challenge - CampNaNo in June

I may be crazy. I may have completely lost my mind. It seemed like a good idea at the time. It even seemed like fun!

CampNaNo in June.

There's only 20 days left till it kicks off... and I'm still hazy about what I'm going to write.

I'm choosing to move from being a pantser to becoming an outliner. NOT a plotter. I still don't like the idea of knowing exactly what I'm going to write before I write it. For me, writing is a journey of discovery and that's where the joy is for me.

But given that I have limited free time to write, I can't just wing it any more. Not if I hope to produce something I can share with others. The plan is to outline only as much as I need to so that I know what I'm writing each day of Camp without tying myself to a rigid plan. The outline ideally will help me to develop a good story structure as well as a thrilling tale.

The aim is to write well, write while filled with joy, and produce something solid at the end of the 30 days.

I'll be working on the sequel to Greemwood Manor, my GothNo 2008 project.

In the next post, I'll give a quick rundown on what I've been doing so far and how that's working for me.
